Malvern Pilates – Personalised Classes of 3 to 4
Due to the precise nature of Pilates I have ,until recently, only taught one to ones and occasionally couples. Most people begin Pilates due to back problems, hip problems and general pain ie – people have different requirements. When dealing with specific problems I write individual programs and instruct people for their personal requirements.
I started the small groups of 3 to 4 so that clients that struggle to continue with Pilates past their 12 week one to one course can carry on with Pilates on a weekly basis. The small groups enable me to keep a close watch and work around the group, checking on technique and also adapting exercises where necessary for those that aren’t as strong and may have special requirements due to existing back or joint problems.
I do try where possible to channel clients into groups of similar strengths and needs. Before going into a class I recommend at least 4-6 sessions ideally a course of 10 to 12 this gives me chance to teach all the basic techniques and pick up on your individual requirements and any conditions that may be affecting your Pilates so that when we are in class I can adapt exercises where needed.
The classes run as a 6 week term that is paid for up front to secure your place. Unfortunately if you can’t make a session then the money can’t be refunded or rolled over to the next term. With such small groups the places are booked and then can’t be offered to anyone else.
